Christ Focused December: Reading Plans

We are focusing our minds in Christ by reading through the gospels and the life of Jesus in December!

This December we are going through the Bible together and focusing on the readings of the life of Christ. With all the chaos of holidays, we need to make sure we are setting specific time apart to spend with God reflecting on the TRUE meaning of Christmas. 25 days of short readings in December will take us through the journey of Jesus- from prophecy, to birth to death and resurrection. Go deeper by reading through all of the gospels in 30 days to extend your 25 day Christmas reading.

Whichever way you choose to go, this reading plan will center on the main stories of Christ and connect everything together.

Prayerfully consider how much time you can discipline to set aside for each day for the next 25-30 days. Commit to reading every day, but also remember, if you miss a day, give yourself grace and move onto the next reading. You’ll get to the one you missed next time you take this journey!

How do I choose?

Do you have 5 minutes for the next 25 days? Wonderful! Focus on the shorter Christmas readings (verses listed not in bold) and you’ll be able to read through the story of the prophecy, birth, life, death and resurrection of Christ over the next 30 days in 5 minutes each day. Simple!
Are you ready to go deeper? Do you have 20- 30 minutes a day for the next 30 days? (Basically the time you just spent on Pinterest googling bible reading plans or elf on the shelf ideas!) Then you’ll be able to commit to reading the25 days Christmas reading plan, as well as read through the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) in the month of December. What a wonderful way to focus on Christ.

Remember, do what you feel you can stay committed to, this is a wonderful way to start or end your day during the chaos of holidays.
