January 19th, 2017: Psalm 10:4

Today my readings were from Genesis 47-48, Psalm 10 and Luke 19.

Psalm 10:4

The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God;God is in none of his thoughts.

O: Observation

The psalmist seems to be reflecting on his pain of feeling forgotten by God. It seems the wicked persevere without any punishment. The end of the psalm, the psalmist reflects on how God is in control.

A: When it seems evil is not able to be overcome by good, we need to remember that God is sovereign and He is in control.

P: Prayer

Dear God,

As we reflect on the fallen world we live in, help us to remember that you are in control. When chaos ensues and it seems all righteousness is overpowered by wickedness, let us trust in you.

In Jesus’s name,
