Great Intentions, Great Distractions & A Greater God!

I had such great intentions to completely stay off of social media until Easter. However… (stay with me here), I’ve decided I am distracted even without Facebook. ((Surprise?)). Guess what, I’m not going to feel bad about it! I missed the community and the accountability to share what I’m reading. I so enjoy it!! However, I need to be wise with my time. So, I’ll put the phone down and read more. I actually have a huge stack of books to read. I just finished one (highly recommend it!).

Something Other Than God by Jennifer Furwiler- A true story of Atheist turned Believer

I will be checking in with the blog and my page Surrender To Grace, just a little less frequently while we prepare for Easter.

Here’s the recap…

Bad news is: I got off track. The great news is: God always meets us where we are at. So, I jump back in and become intentional and prayerful that God will meet me. He always does. Spending time in the word makes all the difference in the day. I encourage you, if you’re feeling like you fell too far behind or haven’t started what you intended to, jump right in today. God isn’t seeking perfection, He is seeking our hearts. Something I am staying committed to is reading through the entire New Testament during these 40 days. I love soaking in the stories of Jesus and the apostles and the spreading of the gospel. Jesus was so radically different. Jesus IS so radically different.

I’m praying you all are having a great week! ❤ I posted a video about my reading dilemma on Jessica Campbell – Surrender To Grace yesterday. You can go check it out, also share how it’s been going for you. My scripture from today is posted in the photo above (from my NIV life application study Bible).

Deuteronomy 6: 4-7

4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
